ANZAC day Wednesday 25 April

Tomorrow is ANZAC day, marking the 97th anniversary of the ANZAC's landing at Gallipolli, as well as marking a day where we remember all of those (soldiers, nurses, orderlies, other important roles during conflicts, and family members of those serving) who have sacrificed for our country. We particularly remember those who have made the greatest sacrifice when they have lost their lives.
We learnt today about the landing at ANZAC cove, the poppies in Flanders Fields, and the history of ANZAC biscuits. We then made some biscuits and ate them - yum!
I hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow. If you can, head along to one of the dawn parades to show your support for those who have fought for our freedom (and other peoples too).
"They shall not grow old, as we that are left to grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them."
